Amateur: A designation on Florida tournament schedules, part of the tournament number, indicating a tournament is a statewide Amateur-only event, awarding Move-Up Points to Amateurs. Such a tournament appears both on the FSA Amateur Tournament Schedule and the schedule of the District where the tournament takes place. (Example: "A01" is the first statewide open event of the season for a District.)

HORSE COLLAR.

Have the mathematical advantage in scores in the expectation to win the game. The math takes into account current recorded scores on the scoreboard, any currently scoring discs, and the expectation that for the remainder of the game, every player scores their hammer shots but no additional discs.

The positioning before a shot of the cue, the cue disc and the body by a player to direct the cue disc to a target.

Aim: Pivot your whole body to point in the direction of where you want the disc to go, letting the cue, your arm, and your hand follow the pivot. Your feet and shoulders should point squarely at your aiming spot.

The location on the board or on a live disc at which a player aims the cue disc to hit its target. The aiming spot usually differs somewhat from the location of the target itself to compensate for variations in the cue disc's path of movement down the court due to drift or other factors.

A designation for a doubles tournament that allows teams of any combination of genders, two men, two women, or one man with one woman.
